Buschartig, niederliegend, Wuchshöhe 0,3-1 m, Triebe hellgrün, 2-3 cm lang, variabel gehöckert, Dornen1, grau bis schwarz, nadelförmig, 2,5-7 cm lang.

Blüte gelb, 2-3 cm Durchmesser, Frucht variabel, trocken, 1,5-2,5 cm lang, Durchmesser 1-1,2 cm.

Cylindropuntia anteojoensis Art ähnelt Cylindropuntia tesajo, einem Mitglied der Baja California Gruppe.

Durch Aktivitäten gefährdet.
